Project description and goals

Merck (Switzerland) AG and VWR International AG occupy 3 buildings. Due to the sale of VWR International the two organisations were separated. At the same time the actual situation concerning space and buildings has to be optimized. For this purpose AOS was entrusted to develop a real estate strategy to ensure the best possible use of existing resources and to further the decision making process in this direction.

Develop potential scenarios concerning the 3 buildings
Building analysis with cost analysis and building evaluation
Feasibility study for possible furnishing layouts by building and by individual floor
Interviews with the board of directors to establish their requirements
Define management goals
Recommend the future structure to management

Result

BReal estate strategy according to customer requirement taking into account employee development until 2006
Based on the analysis and the comparison of the options AOS has developed a recommendation of the best real estate solution for Merck (Switzerland). The results have been summarised in a final report.
